“Grace just began lessons at the age of 4 this year with Elizabeth. Within the first two months, Elizabeth had Grace perfecting her bow hold and fingering which gave her the foundation she needed before we had to go to virtual lessons because of covid. For the past 9 months, Grace has been receiving virtual lessons from Elizabeth and we are amazed at the progress she has made in such a short time. Elizabeth is very observant and can spot the minute adjustments that allow Grace to be successful in her playing. She is so effective at keeping Grace engaged virtually and explains concepts to her in a way that makes practicing fun and interesting. Elizabeth gives Grace feedback in an encouraging, positive way and she gives attention to producing a beautiful sound as well as learning songs. Grace gave her first (virtual) recital a few weeks back and was able to prepare for it and play with accompaniment recorded by Elizabeth. Elizabeth has also provided an ongoing listening list of really great music featuring younger artists that has continued to build Grace’s love for music. Grace is very happy and dedicated to her playing and I believe it is because of Elizabeth’s instruction. ”
